We always strive to help our customers to the best of our abilities, particularly when they are in trouble.  Recently Jimmy of Kristi’s Shoe Repairs in Ilford suffered the twin misfortune of a bag fire on his finisher, and then water damage from the fire brigade’s intervention.

After calling 999, the next call is invariably to us. They are in a difficult situation.  Even after cleaning up the devastation, they cannot trade because their machinery is damaged.  But, this is where we can help the most.

After taking Jimmy’s call we jumped swiftly into action.  Following discussions with both the customer and his Insurance people, our lorry arrived at his shop.  We took away his damaged machinery, and lent him a finisher and other equipment to enable him to continue trading.

The water and fire damaged finisher, bench unit and heat lamp were returned to Kettering and put through our factory.  Within a few weeks we were able to return his fully reconditioned machinery, and take back our borrowed finisher, which, although it won’t win any beauty awards, did the job, and kept Jimmy trading.  It arrived back at our factory and was put back on the substitutes bench until it was next needed.

Jimmy was delighted with the returned machinery, and promised to clean out his dust trays more diligently in future!
